Disc Jockey
Apprentice Program
Would you like to learn what it takes to "D. J." at Proms,
Weddings, Receptions, Class Reunions, Private Parties and other
events? If so, this might be the perfect program for you.
Have Music Will Travel allows selected people, age 16* and
above, to apprentice for free. In exchange for assistance in
setting up, operating, tearing down and loading, qualified
apprentices are given the opportunity to learn the skills from
DJs with over 20 years of successful experience. When practical,
apprentices will even be allowed to "run the show" under the
watchful eyes of the pros.
Advanced apprentices may be given additional
opportunity to plan for and prepare events, including music and
equipment selection—with guidance toward
emphasis on complete customer satisfaction.
Apprentices who demonstrate the ability
to independently sustain the high quality standards of Have
Music Will Travel may be offered part-time employment, or even
assisted in setting up their own business with which to service
the "overflow" business.
Selection of apprentices will be based
on the results of a face-to-face interview. Applicants should
be:
- physically fit and strong enough to
carry speakers, equipment racks and lighting,
- alert, quick-witted,
- possessing good social skills,
- tolerant and accepting of all
races, religions, genders, etc.
- computer literate,
- knowledgeable and appreciative of
most popular music genres and eras.
